Dodgers Lose Max Muncy, Are Humbled By Astros
Houston sweep follows Clayton Kershaw milestone.
When the Dodgers were swept at home by the Angels in May and lost the next day at Arizona, they went from 29-15 with a one-game lead over the Padres in the National West to 29-19 and a half-game lead over San Diego. With their disheartening home sweep at the hand of the Astros over the weekend, Los Angeles has gone from 56-32 and leading the Pads and Giants by nine games to 56-35 up seven on the competition. And we’ll see what happens tomorrow. There are worse outcomes, but beginning with the scary Max Muncy injury Wednesday, things have taken a turn.
The highlight of the last week was Clayton Kershaw’s recording the 3000th strikeout of his career. The lowlight of the week was either losing the hot-hitting third baseman for six or more weeks or being humbled by a Houston squad led by 2017 sign-stealing
